Since version 4, snippets record who created them and who last edited them. On a site with more than one person managing snippets, that answers the “who changed this?” question without digging through logs.
The Author column
The snippets table has an Author column showing the avatar and display name of the person most relevant to the snippet. Hovering the name shows a tooltip with the full picture: who created the snippet and who last edited it. If those are different people, the tooltip names both.
If you’d rather not see the column, it can be hidden from Screen Options on the snippets screen.
