The AI Agent builds snippets for you from a plain-language description. Instead of writing code, you describe what you want — “add a banner to the top of every post page” — and the agent writes the snippet.
Find the AI Agent as a tab on the Snippets screen, next to Snippets, Blueprints, and Cloud Library.
How it works
1. Describe what you need
Type a description of the snippet you want in plain language. If you’re not sure where to start, the agent offers starter prompts you can click and adapt.
You can optionally share extra context with the agent: your snippet library and your site environment. This helps it write code that fits your site instead of guessing.
2. Review the plan
Before any code is written, the agent proposes a plan: what it intends to build, where the snippet will run, and any assumptions it made.
You can refine the plan by replying with changes (“use a different color”, “only on single posts”), or approve it to let the agent write the code.
3. Review the snippet
Snippets the agent creates are added inactive, so nothing runs on your site until you’ve reviewed it.
- Preview the generated code before saving.
- Select a snippet and ask the agent for further changes.
- Activate it when you’re happy with the result.
Conversations, history, and limits
Each request is a conversation with its own message history. The agent keeps a history of past conversations, so you can go back to an earlier request and pick up where you left off.
Your plan includes a usage quota, and each conversation has a message limit. Both are shown in the interface so you always know how much you have left.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your site’s cloud credential never leaves your server: every AI request goes through a REST proxy on your own site, so no credentials are exposed to the browser or the AI service.
This feature requires Code Snippets Pro, 4.0 or later. Without a licence, the AI Agent tab shows an interactive demo of the feature.
