The New Code Snippets Cloud UI is Here!
On Tuesday, June 3rd our improved UI will roll out to all users. We’ll be keeping a close eye on feedback and staying ready to address any issues that come up. If you run into anything or have ideas to share, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team – we’d love to hear from you!
Why It’s Changing
- Unified Experience:
For a while, the overall Cloud experience felt a bit disconnected from our website – almost like it belonged to a different product. With this redesign, we’ve brought the styles, typography, colors, and overall look and feel into alignment, creating a more seamless experience across the board. - Setting the Groundwork for Upcoming Features:
Beyond what’s visible, there are countless improvements and refinements happening behind the scenes. We’ve aligned everything with the latest best practices, laying a solid foundation for upcoming features like Conditions – and more to come! - Share Your Snippets:
We want users to feel proud showcasing and sharing their snippets with the community. We’ve improved the Profile pages, and we’re working on adding even more ways to customize and make them your own.
What’s Changing
This update is all about delivering a better experience for our Cloud users. We’ve been quietly working on this redesign since October 2024, and here are some of the biggest improvements you’ll notice:
- Redesigned Navigation:
We’ve swapped the sidebar navigation for a horizontal menu, making it simpler for users to navigate between Cloud pages and keeping the main content front and center.
- Simpler Terminology:
We’re also streamlining language where it makes sense. For example, “My Codevault” is now simply “My Snippets.
- Improved UX & Functionality:
We’re making improvements across several features – such as adding to bundles and teams – by simplifying the flow and enhancing usability.
- UI Consistency:
The user interface now matches the look and feel of the main website, creating a more unified experience. The Cloud platform feels fully integrated, as if it’s truly part of the main site.
